Winter Mode – what’s that?

levante-black-ceiling-fan

We keep going on about how amazing these fans are in summer when you are hot and sticky and just need the air around you to move so you can cool down a bit. In summer, a fan is crucial, especially living under the African sun. Many people don’t realise that their ceiling fan can be utilized just as functionally in Winter too! The Levante and the Mistral ranges have a reverse function AKA winter mode.

To make things easier, we have thought about renaming forward and reverse function to summer and winter mode. Now hear me out, its not as complicated as it seems. The forward function is summer mode. This mode distributes warm air but circulates the air from up to down. This is a cooling function. The direction of your fan can be changed using the remote control that is provided with the fan upon delivery.

Reverse function or as we are now calling it, winter mode is for the cooler months, aka winter. This function is when you have a fire on the go or a heater on and find that it’s only warm in one spot. Well, you can turn the Levante or Mistral fan onto reverse function and the fans blades will rotate in the opposite direction. With the warm air rising, the fan will rotate the air and distribute the warm air downwards without actually blowing it on you. How awesome is that?

This is just another feature of our offering and we are here to help you get the most out of your ceiling fan!

With love,
